Research Findings:
Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) systems offer some benefits in reduction of fatalities.
Benefits are much more likely to accrue to older cyclists than younger.
The peak benefits for all groups occur in the range from closing speeds of about 15-22 mph.
It is suggested that the system will not generate a large reduction in fatalities or social cost.
